Sell your used stuff online and make some extra money. Buy new and used items at cheap online auctions or flea markets and sell it more expensive. Combine the two and get an extra income.
It can sometimes be lucky to make a bargain at auctions or flea markets, and buy something for far less than it’s worth. Sometimes just nobody else is interested in the product, or maybe the seller just isn’t very good at making the product attractive. You can make money buying things at auctions and selling them at a profit.
Where to buy and sell?
The biggest places to buy and sell used items at home are probably qxl and finn.no. It is not necessarily a good thing that there are big pages, because the more visitors, the more it is to bid that price up, but on the other hand, it should also be a real contract.
Many things are much cheaper overseas, so it can be a good ploy to buy through eBay and sell at home via qxl. or find. Amazon also has an excellent marketplace where you can find some cheap stuff. Many sellers are semi-professional small sellers which is a good thing, because they do not have to pay VAT to Norway, and therefore can sell cheaper.
Remember not to shy away from bidding at an auction, otherwise it can quickly become expensive and then smoke scams. Rather wait for a better product to come up for sale again.
What can we do business with?
First of all, you should only include something you specialize in, where you know the market and prices here at home. Don’t think that you can make money from something you don’t feel like.
Then you should only include something that meets certain requirements. It must be cheap, expensive things can be imposed on customs fees and can be more difficult to get allocated. It must not be heavy because otherwise it will cost too much postage.
Jewelry and hobby small things and big lots are good examples. Buy small groups and sell on, such as socks, brushes (for makeup, as well as paint), gift ribbon, gift wrap, balloons, blocks, pencils, bookmarks, things to sew on clothes, cardboard mugs with motifs (such as Batman, Barbie and others ) – they are cheap but expensive abroad in Norway, everything for New Year and Christmas, such as tissue paper, glossy paper, etc.
Another obvious issue is collectibles, such as collecting cards such as, stamp collections, etc. Here you can buy people’s collections and sell individually. Often these people are tired of the congregation, or they have inherited it and do not know what something is worth in their collection, and should therefore only of the whole.
Is it legal?
We would like to buy things at auctions, and it must be to sell their used items at auction. If you buy for resale, it is still necessary to reveal the profits of the Tax Agency. If you make a lot of money on their hobby (on the order of NOK 50,000), you must register for VAT.
You must also be aware of the rights you have in online auctions.
